Vivace! Chamber Players inspires, develops skills,
and builds friendships that last a lifetime.
WELCOME TO VIVACE! Opening its doors in 2004, Vivace! began, simply, with a focus in chamber music serving 48 students. Designed to create a rich chamber music experience, Vivace! quickly earned its name by growing in a remarkably vivacious manner, not only in numbers, but in the level of musicianship and skill of our participants, and this, in turn, allowed for the expansion of Vivace's musical offerings. Today Vivace! serves approximately 140 students in 30 chamber ensembles, choir, symphonic orchestra, string orchestra, and ensembles for winds, brass, cello, flute, guitar, and piano. Full of fun surprises, creative programing, and beautiful playing, our chamber recitals and final concerts never cease to amaze! Located on the beautiful campus of Seattle Pacific University, students of all ages and levels enjoy the opportunity to meet other musicians, receive professional coaching, and experience music in a variety of settings. We hope you will join us in 2016!
Vivace is a five and six-day camp, located at Seattle Pacific University and First Free Methodist Church on the north side of Seattle's Queen Anne hill. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due with registration. Final tuition payment is due May 1. We have an outstanding line-up of coaches who are as excited about Vivace as our students! The combination of working with Vivace's aspiring musicians and our creative approach to the various types of chamber ensembles keeps them coming back year after year. Take a look to see what our coaches have been up to around the world!
Students are divided by age into two groups: Level A, kids ages 5–12 and Level B, young adults ages 12 through college-aged. Both require suggested two years minimum private instruction, and an in-person audition is preferred for new campers. For complete information on both programs, please click below.
